A BIT ABOUT CALINE MALEK

Writing has always been second nature to me. After studying Journalism in London followed by two Master's degrees in International Relations and Near and Middle Eastern Studies at SOAS, I quickly found my calling. Since 2008, I have been telling all sorts of different stories from the Middle East to the rest of the world. Work experience at The Financial Times and CNN in London, followed by some time reporting in Beirut and 8 years as a senior journalist at The National newspaper in Abu Dhabi, have all contributed to shaping my career as a writer and editor today. As a Westernised Arab, a Frenchie at heart, and with many more stories to tell, I truly believe I am right where I need to be.
